Smart Garden Mistakes: Positioning Light Sensors

Light Sensors Should Be Positioned at the Canopy Level. Placing a light sensor at the canopy level of plants is crucial for accurately assessing how much light reaches the leaves and contributes to photosynthesis.
In the top photo, the light sensor, a small white hemispherical device located on the upper edge of the decorative housing shaped like a mask, is positioned correctly - at the canopy level of a rose bush.
In the photo below, an identical sensor is placed incorrectly: the sun has fully illuminated the plant, but the sensor’s sensitive element remains in the shade, registering only about 5% of the actual light reaching the aloe leaves.
